Destruction has begun!
My contractor Isaias came by this morning before I left for work and collected his first down payment and made some final notes before starting with his crews, I assume around 10am this morning.
I forgot to transfer the money from one account to another until about 10:30am this morning. I didn't really think he'd rush straight to the bank to cash it. I was wrong. Isaias called mid-morning, saying that there wasn't enough funds in the account...OOPS. My bad. Problem solved, but not without me first looking like I was pulling his leg on this project.
I'm anxious to see how far he's come when I get home tonight. Honestly, I'm kind of hoping it'll be one big ball of dust with a drop-cloth covering the damage. But in reality, all I'll probably see is a few sanded-down cabinets and maybe a moved refrigerator. Darn.
